The Bried Family Scholarship for Sober Students

The Bried Family Scholarship for Sober Students will provide scholarship support to students at USD who personally identify as being in recovery from alcohol and other drug abuse for at least one year or who have been impacted by an immediate family member who has suffered from an alcohol or other drug addiction, which has impacted the student’s desire to support healthy well-being.  A commitment to healthy well-being may include a strong focus on mind, body, or spirit through service to the community.

Qualifying students must demonstrate financial need and a 3.0 minimum GPA, with priority to students studying business, engineering, or science. Distributions from this scholarship shall be applied directly to tuition, fees, and housing as estimated by the Office of Financial Aid.
